Site still under construction but heres a few interesting points
that inspired the name of my site
Critical state is a point at which system properties change suddenly.
e.g water turns to ice. The phenomenon doesn't occur incrementally but
rather all at once. This is often termed a phase transition.
So a system in critical state is on the edge of a phase transition or chaos,
an exquisite and delicately poised position where extremely small inputs result
in large outputs. Put more simply minimal effort for maximum information output.
Complex non-linear systems tend toward this state of self organised criticality
and the phenomenon permeates through the fundamental laws of nature
This is the point where information wins out over energy - ngghhh!! Almost
something for nothing.
